In March 2018 Torque were approached by local advertising agency Ogilvy (now know as Stanley St) to undertake the NZ Police signage Rebrand which primarily focussed on the refresh of exterior Police Station signage nationwide.
Specific machines and materials that would stand the test of time along with best fabrication methods and processes were chosen by Torque and hard copy proofs circulated between the NZ Police, Ogilvy and Torque.
Pricing was requested based on multiple sites of varying sizes and we were cross quoted against the countries best print and signage suppliers, ensuring we were price competitive, which we were.
Being such a high profile organization this auditing process was consistent throughout the project and with an assigned dedicated internal project manager it ensured questions were being answered in a timely manner and reassured our client had a single point of contact throughout the duration of the project.
Each site had to be pre-site checked by a professional, undertakings were fed back to the studio, bespoke templates created and supplied for final layout. Torque then had to fabricate and produce all components, collate and send to our nationwide network of installers.
Utilizing our in house manufacturing capabilities we produced, shipped and installed Phase One of the rollout which incorporated 158 Police Stations within 3 months and Phase Two shortly after with a further 135 stations! All ranging in scale and location, from Owaka in the deep south all the way to the tip of the North Island and everywhere in between.
We could not have completed this project without leaning on our nationwide network of installers to provide accurate site checks, provide us with quality workmanship and jumping when we said jump!
These external relationships are something we pride ourselves on as we have worked tirelessly over the past 10 years to build a reliable network of partners and this is definitely a point of difference we have in the market.
A massive effort from everyone involved and a project we are certainly proud to be a part of!
